2017 marked the 100th anniversary of the invention of Somerville's very own Fluff.  For twelve years, Somerville's Union Square has paid homage to Archibald Query's marshmallow creation with a "What the Fluff" Festival.  The festival is fun for all ages, featuring a cooking contest, live music, costume contest, countless Fluff inspired treats, and Fluff swag.

The festival has grown in popularity over the years, now with an average of 15,000 attendees.  In addition to the dozens of local vendor stands, several of the Union Square restaurants and bars offer Fluff inspired desserts and cocktails.

"What the Fluff" is a true Somerville experience and worth of setting a reminder in your calendar.
