Brattle Street - West Cambridge
Brattle Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts - called the "King's Highway" or "Tory Row" before the American Revolutionary War - is one of the most beautiful and historic streets in America. Brattle Street begins in Harvard Square. One of my favorite restaurants - Toscano's - is on Brattle Street, as is the Cambridge Center for Adult Education, the office of Harvard Extension School, and the American Repertory Theatre (ART). Upon leaving Harvard Square, Brattle Street extends into an exclusive residential neighborhood of West Cambridge, running more or less parallel with the Charles River. The most famous destination on Brattle Street is Longfellow House - Washington's Headquarters for a time at the start of the Revolution.
