Milk Bar and &pizza in Cambridge, MA

While the Harvard Square community does not always welcome change with open arms, change is inevitable. The Washington, D.C. based company &pizza was met with a lot of resistance in 2017 when they proposed opening a location in Harvard Square. As the opening process slowly moved forward for over a year, the concept evolved into a surprising joint venture between &pizza and Milk Bar.

&pizza co-founder and CEO Michael Lastoria was thrilled to partner with Milk Bar’s creator Christina Tosi. Both innovators have a shared respect for what the other has done in their culinary field, and a collaboration seemed like a fantastic opportunity. &pizza offers delicious personal oblong pizzas with fresh ingredients with crust and cheese options that even cater to the gluten-free and vegan.  Under the same roof, you can step right over to Milk Bar for dessert.  Grab a cup of their signature cereal milk soft serve or a famous Milk Bar Pie.

In February 2019, the first Milk Bar and &pizza opened in the center of Harvard Square (1-3 Brattle Street). And the people of Cambridge showed up in droves. It has been a lively addition to the historic Harvard Square.
