I love my Vespa. My current one is an LX 150 from 2002. Midnight blue with a top case. Best way to get around town.

Today I had my Vespa delivered by Greater Boston Motorsports from winter storage. Rite of spring.

It was scheduled to be delivered a few weeks ago. However, the Massachusetts computer system went down for a while. Need that annual inspection. Back up at last this week, and, as of today, I am back in business for the driving season.

This is my second Vespa. Before that, I had a couple of mopeds. My current Vespa is actually classified as a motorcycle, sporting a 150 cc engine. No match for my neighbor's motorcycle. But she's fast enough for me.

Even though I don't have a helmet on in the photo here, I do wear one at all times while scooting around. Safety first!

Cambridge and Somerville are the perfect place for a Vespa. It's easy to stay with the flow of traffic. There are plenty of places to park. It's fast and efficient. Well, at least on the sunny days:)

Only now and then have I had a passenger on back. Too much liability. My Vespa has been a singular pleasure:)

I love buzzin' along Memorial Drive along the Charles River. Or feeling the wind in my face as I scoot down a sun-dappled tree-lined side street.

One of the best parts of driving my Vespa is that I can fill up the tank with premium gas for about $5 and get 75 miles per gallon. Now that's a deal!

It's often said that it's all about the journey, not the destination. It's easy to understand this when getting there via Vespa.
